Thank you to all for taking the time to provide me your thoughts and advice on this issue.  

 

I plan to take this information to a shop, which hopefully will be very beneficial to them in fixing the problem.

 

I will report back to the list with what was repaired/replaced – when I then expect to be aroma-free (well, at least *gasoline* aroma-free).    :-)
