Hi Steve, I used to work in Public Transit and we would inspect all of our Buses once a week. I inspect our 84 every couple of weeks. I installed Rocky Mountain Westys coolant tank when it became clear that the aftermarket coolant expansion failed over and over again. Glade for the product, sense install no mas problem. So not to beat a Dead Horse or you if you drive a 35 year old vehicle uncertainty has to part of the expectation. If you have plastic connection for fuel I would look for a brass hose barb I have seen mine leak as well and it is disturbing to say the least. My evap tanks are going to fail in the future I know and I will look at Rocky Mountain Westy when the time comes. I don't know if you saw this on the Samba but this is a Good Post on Vapor/ Expansion Tanks system..
