Well, the grommet for the fuel line at the wall will only work if one installs continuous fuel line (supply side) anyway. No connector, either nippled or barbed, that way. There is so far as I can tell no reason not to run continuous fuel line return side, as well, which is what I did when I replaced all the fuel lines immediately after I got the van. The question I have now is, since that has been ten years, do I need to replace all the fuel lines again? This is for a 1991 Volkswagen Vanagon GL Campmobile, original 2.1l engine.
