Subject: AHU MTDI vs. ABA?
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=utf-8

I’m tired of having rev the whizz out of my ABA engine to get my loaded Syncro Westy moving, especially when AC is on. I need to be above 3K RPM to get power, but then I have plenty to 6,400 RPM.

What is the opinion and experience of switching to a diesel AHU 1.9 with MTDI? I love the thought of torque and simplicity. My gearing and tires give 70mph at 3,600 RPM, so that seems like a good fit as I don’t care about cruising at beyond 75 mph. I used to own a VW TDI and loved it.

Chris.
