Oh, good grief. I've been working on Vanagons - AND other cars - since 1982. I've driven just about every common swap there is. I'd recommend not resorting to name calling, especially since you've never met me or have no clue how I drive. Have you driven a half million miles in Vanagons? Do you have a clue about the powerband of a TDI? Obviously not.
