Subject: AC Shop Recommendations in Vancouver BC for '90 Westy?
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=utf-8

I have a 1990 Westy with a non-functioning AC. Can anyone recommend an AC specialist in Vancouver BC/Lower Mainland area? Or Bellingham/Seattle area?? I don’t mind driving!

The AC has not worked in years and has completely lost all charge now. The Westy has never been retro-fitted from the original R12 and no AC components have been replaced except of course the receiver drier. I did try to recharge with Red Tek 12A but it wouldn’t take a charge so it’s time now for an expert.

Ideally I would like to convert to Red Tek 12A because it seems to be better than R134a for an old R12 system. So, any shops out there that would take on a Red Tek conversion?

I have totally removed all the Westy interior to deal with rust issues so it’s now an ideal time to work on the AC. I’ve even lowered the cabinet enclosing the evaporator so everything AC is fully accessible.

Thanks all!

Rich 90 Westy Vancouver BC
