When I tackle lighting issues, I do this: Disconnect battery. Use steel wool on interior of light bulb sockets to brighten. Anywhere connections are made. Apply a light film of grease (white lithium, Vasoline) using finger or Q-tip. The grease will sorta help dissolve whatever corrosion is left, and provide a barrier for the future. Don't overdo it...just a thin film, remove excess. If need be, bend metal contacts a little to provide stronger contact pressure; just a little. Yes, this method could even work on fuses and underdash fusebox.....which might be the root cause of your problem. I recently did this on the fuses and fusebox in my 85 Tintop. I had no problems, but didn't want any down the road. I'm not an expert, that's for sure. Why are you looking on the internet? Where is your Bentley? Dennis

All the numbers matched what has been posted on the Internet, but a couple of the lights look different than expected (two contacts instead of one), and tail light bulb was same wattage as stop light bulb (on my other Vanagon's stop light bulb was higher wattage than tailight bulb). If fuse block diagrams on Internet are correct, Fuses 2 and 20 are suspect. John |
