If anyone is interested in a set of these wheels, I came across a nice set of four on eBay that someone is selling for $99 for all four. Local pick-up only. That is an incredible bargain. Most sellers are asking around $150 EACH for these wheels. There's a person near me who has a brand new unused set for $900.If I lived in or near LA, I'd snap these up but I'm 350 miles away in Arizona. www.ebay.com/itm/Mercedes-Benz-E500-E320-2003-2006-W211-WHEELS-OEM-SET-ALL-4-100/114029882815?hash=item1a8cb5edbf:g:zjIAAOSw3nNeAajO

Hi folks,

Anyone know why I wouldn’t have received David’s message?  If I had not received Dennis’s and read lower I’d never know a message went to Jerry.  I can’t help but wonder how many messages we are consistently missing.

I did check my junk mail and Jeff’s message was there about stickers  and one from Dennis about being followed by a brown camper, but nothing else in junk.

Seems like between junk and non arrivals I’m missing a significant number of Vanagon emails.

Stay strong Jerry!  We need you.

Replacing an original tank has become a leap as the replacements are low quality, thin wall, in have caused me grief and comebacks. I have dealt with  clogged screens, loose pick ups, bowls and the make sure the vent system is working especially the control valve and carbon canister as the fuel pump has little trouble collapsing these tanks. The outside finish so far is fairly durable so no need to paint. They will rust from the onside out if you get water inside. The other common problem is the cut out for the fuel gauge sensor. Some you just can't get the o-ring to seal. > > As part of this you will also want to drop and inspect the gravity valves on top of the expansion tanks. The original seals were almost foam and most have rotted out. Which is best?I've seen plain metal ones and ones painted black.Price seems to vary from $100 to $150.Any advice welcome.Thanks. > Happy New Year fellow Vanagoners. > > -David (1987 Vanagon Wolfsburg, Tempe AZ)
