Hi Dennis and others, It would be great to fit the matching wheel and tire with the original clam shell and Ben’s kit. But if not would the alternate spare size for my 2 wheel drive fit on that shell with the kit? Last option is to use the van cafe holder, I have one, and if needed the u bolts. I already have the extended front portion. It sounds like Dennis’s experience says the 25 55 17 won’t fit in the front due to it’s size no matter what the older. Ben, it sounds like you may have gotten a tire like that to fit but had to do som grinding that you felt was fairly minor. I appreciate all the info and experience. Eric Caron 85 gl Auto
