Can’t vouch for the camper conversions, but I have experience with both the Sprinter (3.5 and 5 tonne) and VW LT (3.5 tonne) chassises (with dump bodies) …. all diesel.    Far better work truck than an N.A. pickup:  Fuel efficient, carry larger loads (weight and volume).

My biggest complaint about the MB Sprinters has been with their interiors - the upholstery does not stand-up well.
