Subject: oil consumption
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="UTF-8"

hi all,

I have a 1988 Carat 2.1 WBX w. about 80K miles engine... due to moving to another state the van sits for about 6 to 9 months... when I drive it I notice the oil consumption went up quite a bit about 1/2 quart for 300 miles, normal oil consumption is about a pint between oil change. I assume the following: - sticky rings - the rings will loose up if I drive more w. help some additive in the gas such as Lucas additive.

are my assumption correct?

thanks for your reply,

dan
