I have a similar TPMS system on my 90 Carat. I started a 250 mile journey with relatively new tires and proper pressure all around. After stopping for gas on the way, after a while the TPMS started beeping, showing a low tire.

I stopped again, and discovered a screw in the tire and a slow leak, which gave me a chance to fix the problem relatively conveniently, rather than further down the road in the dark or more unfavorable unconditions, and after potential tire damage if I didn't notice in a timely manner.

At this point, I wouldn't consider not having one.

I consider it cheap insurance.
