Eric, I didn’t do this so can’t vouch, but from out of archives …
Another fun thing if you have more time on your hands and have nothing better to do with your VW Horn is change the pitch.  On most of the VW Hella and Blaupunkt horns, there is a cap in the middle and you can turn the small screw under the cap.  Pop the cap off, turn the screw in or out and beep the horn.  Turn and beep till you find the Pitch you prefer.
