Here in the northeast many of our tanks are sitting on the trans and to make things worse the front angel for the tank straps is also rotted out. Always something to fix or paint up there anyway.

Not necessarily true ~ Back in 2014 I replaced the Gravity Valves and Grommets & also did

extensive plastic welding of Cracks in the Tank around those Valves while the Tank was In Place ~

Have Pics to show how for those interested ~ It's something VW Should have done ~
