Eric,

Two horns can be run off of a SPDT (Single Pole Double Throw) switch rated for the amps. If the stock wiring will work for either horn, you just need to take the wire off the factory horn and run it to the center terminal of the switch. From one side of the switch, go to the factory horn. From the other side you go to the second horn.

OK,

You guys beat me to this topic.

I wanted to ask the group both, have they found a nice loud horn, but also, is there a way for me to keep my stock horn and power it with a button from my passenger seat?

You see, Heidi is very conservative with the horn. As we approach a vW gathering or depart friends she almost never sends out the fun beep beep. Yet, she is good about hitting the horn in traffic situations, however, the beep at that time isn’t very helpful.

So, how about a loud horn for her and the happy traditional beep for me?

Ideas welcome,

Maybe it is good that I don’t have my van now during lock down in VT. I could be doing way too many fun things! Eric Caron 85 Gl Auto Westfalia Locked down in Bohemia

The horn comes from Just Kampers in England. I'm not sure if there is any branding on it besides that. > > Ron Salmon > The Bus Depot > www.BusDepot.com
