LOL. Well, I "cheated" by *looking* at the diagram but apparently didn't originally read it thoroughly!

LOL.

I looked up one spec on 1.0 (~ AWG 16 ?) wire but I think it was quite general and didn't take into account various factors, hence my "sky is falling" reply.

I hope it works. I certainly would not want to try connecting to the starter 50 wire on a stock Syncro. I have had a helper turn the key while I watched for fuel injector spray patterns. Helper left the van in gear...... never again!
