If I'm thinking of the same tool, I've used that ell shaped pic type tool and also the simple straight type for this job. You can get a similar set like this, image link: https://tinyurl.com/ut7qq35 at Harbour Freight though they're not as high a quality IMO (ones with orange handles) and maybe not as many types in the set. But maybe they have a better quality set as well? I guess that for a newb to this job, a tool with sharp point might run the risk of damaging the old hose but not likely. Neil.
