But, "little" things like case stud assessment could be a potential game changer? Personally, given what little i know of the Subaru and from a newb rebuilder POV, I'd not hesitate to rebuild the 2.2 as it likely has a better cost-benefit potential since it *may* be more user friendly for an inexperienced rebuilder to rebuild.
