a year my syncro 2.1wbx was rebuilt by a mechanic. He replaced all the hoses with silicone hoses, saying it's better than the actual plain rubber hoses because they don't make as good as before (read Made in China)... silicone hoses are les prone to crack under heat and pressure,,, I believe him and gave him a go.. no problem after a year and about 5K miles... I have a friend who did the same on his van about 5 years ago... he has no problem so far.
