Right. Thanks Dennis. I recall now what the purpose of that "valve" is, or was in my case.

Bad memories? Ha. Ya, gotta say though that these ABA engines appear to be pretty tough. But the rest of the systems, other cars, meh, what do I know? haha.

I'd been meaning to do a compression test on the engine I rebuilt, the one with the initial rough idle engine cold. It has noticeably better acceleration, especially under significant load, than the other van with ABA which has ?? many miles on the engine now. I've "beat" it pretty hard since 2008 or so. I have to wonder if the MAF on that engine is failing. Anyhow......

AFAIK, gearing, tire OD is the same between both vans.
