Yeah check the belt tension. At least, while on road trip. What Dennis said is really good too.

And removing the voltage reg. You might find the screws to be tight. Of you can get in there, give the screwdriver a rap on the head to jolt the screw.

If reg brushes look long enough, and you will know of they are worn too short, be easy with the re install of reg. You can see how the spring loaded brushes have to be eased in place.
