I've only taken a couple apart but the ones I looked at were just big > double diodes. And diodes, being semiconductors, are never 100% on or off > which means your batteries are never totally isolated. > These don't resemble the diode type in any way. I think those have pretty much vanished now that the electronics have gotten cheap. That type require voltage sensing for the voltage regulator at the battery because each diode drops around 3/4 of a volt. Yrs, d |
