Subject: Horn installation
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="UTF-8"

hi all,

so I got a new horn from Ron (Bus Depot). ... Now a question regarding wiring...

1. instruction on the box and found on the net requires a wire running from pos (+) of battery to the horn, the original pos (+) wire of the old horn is for the relay.

2. instruction found on Samba uses the original pos (+) of the old horn for both - horn and relay. https://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?p=7840720

so which one is valid or better to use? I would think the #2 will bypass the relay (not sure)... or is it the same as #1 thus easier to install (no drilling, no extra wire)?

could you please help. Thanks

dan
