Thanks again Dennis. I'll measure that and check the angle of UCA's Knowing that angle is helpful and again, I get the gist of that.

I suspect the larger factor for possible premature wear or failure of these Sachs shocks was driving too much washboard or similar rough roads. If I kept track of the amount of miles, especially those driven on rough roads, that might shed some real light on this.

Maybe I need a Syncro! ha ha.
