Wow, Glad Tom responded as Gerry cut out the original post and tossed Dennis to Junk .

Dennis has the SA flaps on fun bus. I think he is describing the install for them. I have the German ones on mine.

I’m a fan of the Original style ones. They look like the one in front of the propane tank only I have them on all four wheels.

Got mine from Van Cafe in 2013 Luckily I had help installing mine from a auto body friend. Drilling into my van is not something I ever want to do!

They look great. They mostly clip in place and as supplied don’t need many holes drilled. If you want them to stay in place that requires a little work. The clips don’t do well at high speeds or heavy rains or deep snow. On Fun Bus I drilled the fender lips and used small sheet metal screws from the back into the flaps. I also glued them to the fender lips. For the rear that bracket with the clamp tends to bend letting the screw loosen. Be creative and add another bracket to screw that in place securely. Then you should be good. They look great and hold up well if you keep them attached. >> >> Dennis >> >> >> >> -----Original Message----- >> From: Vanagon Mailing List [mailto:vanagon@gerry.vanagon.com] On Behalf Of ddbjorkman@verizon.net >> Sent: Friday, May 15, 2020 12:50 PM >> To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM >> Subject: Mud Flaps >> >> HI All. I recently went all out and bought a full set of mud flaps from Bus Depot (# 6881). I have looked for videos on installing them, although they look like an easy install, to no avail. Any tips. tricks or best practices anyone can lend me? I bought all 4 on sale. Any reason not to put them all in place? >> Dave B.
