I've been there and don't envy you. What you don't have, leverage, is really what you need. Depending on how stuck it is, heat, cold and machine oil are useful, but that's not an option while mounted either.

Your only hope trying to extract it at an "awkward angle with very little leverage" is to get a pin extraction tool like this:

But the body of it might be too big for your use case.

Drilling it out by hand is going to be a nightmare and will likely damage the rod.
