May I slightly derail this great thread with a query?
I’ve noticed on my wbx the alternator pulley is not exactly coplanar to the crankshaft pulley. I’ve pulled the alt cradle off and examined. Not on a surface plate :-) just eyeballing. And it looks right.
But all mounted up the alt pulley is at a slight angle when viewed from above. I’ve thought about making a new cradle or shimming the existing.
I don’t like the slight misalignment, I think it’s wearing out the belt faster than it should. You seen this Dennis?
