Hi Vanagon Types It is time to think about a new set of tires for my 2wd '85 Westy. I am doing much more forest service road driving, so I am considering an all-terrain type tire, though not with as aggressive tread as some 4WD may use. I searched the list and saw recommendations for General Tire Grabber, and also watched a Youtube video that compared the Grabber with BFG and gave the edge to the Grabber tires. FYI, I do have a limited slip transaxle and do pretty well on loose dirt and gravel. I am not planning on using any roads that recommend 4wd. So, I am looking to update the current tire recommendations since this information is a few years old. My question is does anyone on the list have experience with the General Grabber AT/X and is it still a recommended tire? Is there something comparable that I should consider? Thanks Dave B. Boise |
