Yes, I almost did this once. So close! But I do two things to remember. First I almost never open it. It just isn’t worth the risk! If camping is the only time. If open, I put a Bandanna or some other marker on my Buese shelf so when I lower the top I remember the vent. If I was not blind I’d tie a bandanna to the steering wheel as a reminder. Just saying I’ll remember never works! Good luck with the new one! Eric Caron
