Congratulations...

about sliding you mention it's loud... 1. you mean loud when you close it? 2. or loud when to roll in and out?

if #1 there's nothing we can do about it... it's "OEM" loud noise, if #2 then a whole set of rollers will quiet it down significantly.

The front blower is a big job requiring taking out the dash, replacing the blower, the flap seals and since you're there lube the cables and wiper mechanism and put sound deadener at the front nose panel.
