Been a while, does the List accept attachments? Attached (maybe?) is a larger copy of the picture of the Velcro strips wrapped around the tent pole and the fiberglass poles that is included in the instruction sheet. Each strip should be long enough to wrap around them several times for good measure, so if anything longer than necessary. Maybe you are trying to use them in the wrong place? They go just above the ground where the fiberglass poles push onto the pins that hold them to the ground.
