Hi Ron,

First, Every time you respond to a message here I feel so lucky that we have this list and your continued support. It brings back memories of you or your staff talking me through the installation of everything from rear bench heater core to faucets.

I still find this confusing but think I have found a solution for using the velcro straps .

I think they actually need to go both at the bottom by the pin and more importantly part way up the two poles about 2 feet up or so to secure things.

The velcro can’t just go around the pole., like a rope or cable tie. My only solution is to do this:

Separate the velcro strips. Attach one end to the end of the other about 1 inch . Now start at the bottom and wrap up the poles in a non overlapping tight spiral. When the velcro changes start back down overlapping the original spiral .

This would work on the arch pole and tent leg.

Not sure if this is what the picture shows.

Only took me a month to figure it out.

My instructions, I believe also say to use the velcro to attach the arch poles in the middle up by the awning. Not sure if my process will work there as the poles are in a X shape. That will take me another month to figure out.

Is this spiral what is shown in the picture?

If there is a technique for either location shown in the picture would someone give a description?

Attached (maybe?) is a larger copy of the picture of the Velcro strips wrapped around the tent pole and the fiberglass poles that is included in the instruction sheet. Each strip should be long enough to wrap around them several times for good measure, so if anything longer than necessary. Maybe you are trying to use them in the wrong place? They go just above the ground where the fiberglass poles push onto the pins that hold them to the ground. > > Ron Salmon > The Bus Depot Inc. > BusDepot.com > <FlexPoleVelcro3.JPG>
