I just received my Bus Depot sliding door screen, which looks to be well made.
However, there are not any suggestions or instructions where to install the snaps.

Hi Jack,

There are no factory instructions for the screen. It is a clone of an original German screen and if there were instructions for the original (which would have been entirely in German anyway) we have never found a copy. Basically you will want to have someone help you hold it up, mark out the spots to screw in a few of the included snaps around the door opening as desired, test-fit it, and then install the rest of the snaps. In terms of orientation, there is a slit near the bottom of the screen and that goes toward the front of the van, not toward the bench seat.  Most people use self-tapping screws (available at any hardware store or home center) to attach the snaps because then you don't have to drill first.
