I confirm what Dennis has said... all my vans are doing that... the fan keeps going after the engine shuts off for a minute and sometimes up to 2 or 3 min... it's quite disconcerting the first time I notice that. Back then my theory is the fan is not running fast enough thus not sucking enough air because the fan is old or it doesn't get enough power from the battery... anyway it's my *"not verified"* theory .
