Good friend Simon, with the hi top 91 Syncro , was a fan of that stuff. Anyway, good that the flocking is ok. It is a job to reline the top with hull liner or carpet stuff or whatever.

You’ll love the cleaning when the top is on supports and upside down. Makes the chore of getting top off almost worth it :-)

New tent jim? I have some tips for the screws at the rear. I’ll hold that valuable advice till I get a high bid.

Somewhere recently on the list, a product called Concrobium was mentioned to get rid of mold. I ordered some and tried it. Meh. Then I read the instructions on the bottle. It said the mold inhibitor had to get all the way through fibers if dealing with them. So I resprayed and worked it in a little with a brush. WOW! Mold gone, stains very very light. It's so much better to deal with than clorox because it doesn't hurt anything else in the car, or your eyes or lungs. I did the skylight area and surrounding fuzz to prove that it worked satisfactorily. I will wait until the top is on sawhorses upside down before I try to finish the job, since it is coming off anyway. > > Jim > >> On Sun, Sep 6, 2020 at 8:09 PM Alistair Bell <albell@shaw.ca> wrote: >> Jim, >> >> I’m trying to remember the few times I’ve done this . Or maybe you’re going to “carpet” the roof. If so, I found that the citrus based paint stripper does a good job of removing remaining flocking. >> >> Alistair >> >> > On Sep 6, 2020, at 2:11 PM, Jim.
