Stuart, I thought these fittings were all compression fittings. I've been
told by professionals and read in credible references not to use any
sealants with them. However, I have professionals do gas work always (but
check afterwards myself for leaks using soap), and if any discovered, point
them out to the professional. Never had anyone upset with me about that,
