That’s how Adventurewagen did it.  The tank is under the slider and has a hose to the regulator mounted behind the tank up against the floor.  I replaced the hose about ten years ago. Not because it was deteriorated or leaking, but simply because I was re-doing the whole system. Your local commercial propane shop* should be able to fix you right up.
