Wow! The other day I stopped to look at a 89 camper for sale in VT.
Can you tell I’m missing my bus! Anyway, it was a nice camper with auto and most of the stock bells and whistles I had never seen the air conditioning cabinet in the back before. That thing is a monster! I see now why it is called a head knocker. But, I sleep with head toward the front so it would not be so bad. Still the ability to transport large items would be reduced. And it just looked crazy to me. The other day I also went for a ride in a Tesla. That was a amazing experience. I learned that the car I was in used a heat pump for both heat and air conditioning. It made me wonder. For our busses is there a small heat pump that could offer air conditioning and heat when camping? Would this be a better option for those with solar and big batteries? Get rid of the old air conditioning and the aux fuel heaters and just have a battery powered efficient heat and cooling source? Eric Caron Still dreaming of his buss |
