Eric,
Here’s a link to Lee valley page
https://www.leevalley.com/en-ca/hardware/led-lighting
Now, understand that there are so many other sources for good led strip lighting. I’m pushing Lee valley for simplicity and ease of choice. But they aren’t the least expensive . The cost ain’t as much of a problem for the amount of led needed for van.
The dimmers i use now
https://www.banggood.com/Touching-Type-Sensor-Detector-for-LED-Strip-5-24V-DC-3A-Light-Dimmer-p-1004811.html?akmClientCountry=CA&utm_campaign=ios-share&ios_share=1&_branch_match_id=847121998781880012&cur_warehouse=CN
They are illuminated , blue glow. All the time. So that’s a thing , plus or neg.
I have a row of four of them in a blanking plate up on the rear most air vent on pass side valence. It’s a bit a of a wiring bear to get all my strips wired to them . Correction, except the rear over bunk and upstairs on the pop top ... in other words four switches on vent plate, three used, for light strip outside, the one over kitchen, and the one on the valence. Easy to reach in from outside the slider door to turn any on. The easy access was why I put the switches there. One switch unused.

Short channel with no translucent cover across van, on underside of shelf, adjacent to rear hatch ( great reading light and trouble light for engine ), full length strip on underside of rain gutter outside van, pass side. And full perimeter strip on pop top just above where the canvas joins top.
