Does your 1985 engine use Digifant or Digijet? i.e. is it a 1.9 with Digifant? On my 2.1 Digifant with PS no AC, I disconnected the idle valve, plugged appropriate air holes, turned idle screw on throttle body CCW, adjusted idle engine at that screw, engine warm. It idled, ran, ok after a brief warm up. IIRC, I disconnected the idle control module in an attempt to eliminate it and related wiring as possible fault sources. Doing so may not be required if the only goal is to disable the idle control system. Neil.
