One of the many wisdoms I have picked up from The List is to temporarily bypass your metal fuel tank.  Instead, half-fill a clean plastic jug with known good fuel.  Add a LONG hose from jug to fuel pump.  Hang or mount the jug about the same height as fuel tank.  This will at least eliminate the possibility of clogged fuel tank outlet.  Your motor will now be getting clean fuel as much as it wants.

Of course....the next obstacle in the line after fuel pump is that cylindrical gray fuel filter.

But at least, we are starting to narrow down where the issue is.
