yes... the Boxeer engine has a lot of torque for off roading and power for cruising, good mileage (30+ mpg) and it is way quieter than the traditional 1.9TDi. The downside is it's not cheap and even more expensive if you add the labor to have it installed if you don't wrench it yourself. My plan (if budget permitting) is to have an 1.8T or a 2.5 Turbo Subie my other van to compare.
