Hey Zoltan.

Does your Vanagon have a 5 speed transmission? 50º engine mount angle?

I was curious if a 924 engine might be feasible but......

1.8T conversion? AEB (or ATW ?) code 1.8T (if sold in your market(s) ) will mate to the diesel Vanagon clutch housing, the diesel Vanagon oil pan mates engine.

Discussion on AEB (or ATW) engine mounted at 50º. Lots of images, installer fabricated engine support arms, modified intake manifold:
