Vannuts, 2021 seems to be a continuation of 2020, which, if you've been paying attention, was not the best year of all time. I was coming home with the van [87 syncro westfakia, TDI} after having the speedo cable replaced. Cable quiet...Hooray. Gas gauge quit...not hooray. Next day gauge worked fine.

I understand that a bad tank sensor can do this. I don't want to contemplate that unless I have to. In which case it's not getting replaced. Pulling the engine, tranny, and tank to replace the sensor means $1000 + to replace a $100 +/- part. So is there anything else I can look for that would be intermittent? Mike, damn van tired of continuing repairs and not being able to go anywhere!
