There may be other design offerings (Ken at Vanagain?) and this is a personal somewhat uneducated preference, (and i tend to over think things), but looking now at gowesty vs van-cafe offerings, I'd lean towards the van-cafe brand simply because they likely have less potential leak points. Not saying the GW offering is a lesser product though. As I view the parts, I'm now curious if van-cafe bench tests their parts (their welds) and if the nipples are welded on or if the rail is manufactured as "one piece" with nipples. i.e. do they buy long rails then weld a cap at each end? Trust me to ask these kind of somewhat arcane questions. ;)
