Good thoughts Dennis. I take pics of nearly everything I do on my Westfalias. These help me keep track of work done, quality of work and may serve to help others. So, along with notes, I'd suggest people take pics of what they've done. Regardless, photos on a server farm somewhere and/or computer, are not on the door jamb. Re: fluid changes. Though I have notes on some work I've done the other day, I could not recall when the brake fluid was last replaced on my '88. So, it's "overdue" . Even though I spray protective lube on the bleeder screws "while I'm under the van", that missing detail could cause hardship due to a snapped bleeder screw. Simply putting a sticker somewhere on the van, like a pro would, would've helped. Given how much work a Vanagon may require, wouldn't it be nice to have a "maintenance required" app on ones' smart phone? Neil.
