For as long as I have had my Westy (17 years) I have recorded every stinking dollar and every bit of labor I have spent on it. I keep it all in a word doc with a brief narrative of what the problem was, how I diagnosed it and what I did to fix it. I know where I bought each part or how I made each modification. I know the dates and mileage. It’s been pretty damn helpful, especially in figuring out what NOT to use/buy again.
