This tip was passed on by someone and I'm glad I tried it: ditch the stock tubular "lug wrench" and buy a proper one, like this one I got from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B071FV7XVM?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_dt_b_product_detailsI was amazed at the overall quality, and only $12. Sidenote: for those of you with GoWesty alloys, I called them a while back and asked about correct torque for nuts & bolts. They said 95 FT-LBS which is significantly less than the torque for stock Vanagon steel wheels, which I think is something like 133 FT-LBS. On the side of the road, I estimate as best I can with body weight and lever length, and then get it properly re-torqued once in town. Rich San Diego
