Just bought a '91 Carat. It has sat idle int sun and weather for two years. You can imagine what that has done to the paint. It's dark blue, the spitting image of of the Carat I used to have. Howerver this one needs serious TLC. For starters it needed a new wngine harness. The old one was fried. Melted and burt spot all over. I happened to have a spare and todays efforts withbit paid off. Oil change, new,oil filter, new air filter, coolant, brake fluid. The thing started right up, ran a little rough for a while, but smoothed right out. More work on the body tomorrow. A little secret!! This van has in it an engine with only 50,000 miles - the last engine ever built by Boston Bob before he died. |
