I have a 1990 Orly blue Carat in very rough shape but running good...

I'd suggest you put in a can of Liqui Moly valve cleaner on a half tank or
2 cans on a full tank.... along with a basic tune up.

run till almost empty and redo the same with Liqui Moly injector cleaner
